Space Florida RLV Hangar

Space Florida, the State of Florida’s aerospace economic development agency charged with fostering the growth of aRLV Hangar sustainable and world-leading space industry, signed a Space Act Agreement (SAA) with NASA in June of 1998, which authorized the use of land at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) to construct a Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) Hangar.  This hangar is located at the south end of the Shuttle Landing Facility at KSC.  It has housed and supported a number of operations and programs including the protection of International Space Station flight hardware delivered to the KSC via aircraft.  Currently, a portion of the hangar is being used by Starfighters, a Florida-based company that operates high performance aircraft.  The latest renewal of the Space Act Agreement was signed on May 5, 2014.
